Postcard from Limbo
The closing on our new house got pushed back two weeks and The Thing doesn’t have a landline so for a while my only connection to the outside world is via email from a laptop on top of a bunch of packed boxes. And in two weeks I get to move all over again. Um, yea?
[sigh]
But I get to work from home in my pajamas with the cat at my feet and email Girlfriend to brag about it while I'm doing it so it does all even out .

And for the record, she really does email and talk about how she really loves being in a far away state and she really is working in her pajamas. The Thing even emailed me to tell me she was late to work because she had to walk all the way to the kitchen and get her coffee and then all the way back to the bedroom to turn on her new spiffy laptop that is prettier than I am...so she couldn't start right at 8:30. Meanwhile, I got stuck in traffic, had to do my makeup and my hair and shower (gosh!)...all go to the same damn office she works for. Humph. It's a good thing the bosses love me more.
