Hi! I've commented before, but I lurk a lot, too. As for the mattress debate, I think Thing should pay for it. His back necessitates the purchase, you have two children (hence many other expenses), it will only be used for a short amount of time, etc. Also, couldn't you take it with you to Thing's house and use it in one of the kids' rooms or something? Just seems such a shame to buy it now and then toss it in four and a half months.

I have no opinion on the mattress thing because I think it's silly to buy a new mattress in this situation. Hmm, I guess I do have an opinion, just not on what you wanted to know. (bad commenter!)

I am de-lurking today. My road to and from your blog is twisted so slow down and move to the right-hand lane. One day I "googled" tuxedo cats and found PsychoKitty's & Thumper's blogs where I found yours. Your links led me to Boobs, Injuries & Dr. Pepper (where I laugh and snort coffee alot) and went there to Dad Gone Mad.
All this while looking for a cat....
